.What
the heck are
Blogs
?
. |
-
A blog is an
easy-to-use website, where you can quickly post discussions,
thoughts, interact with people, and more. We will use a blog
instead of Discussions in Canvas to post
questions and answers for just about anything having to do
with the class. PLEASE DO NOT POST PERSONAL INFORMATION ON
THE BLOG. If a student is asking a question, I will post a
response and other students may post responses. Blogging is
a social tool we will use for improving communications in
the class.
-
You will receive a blog
invitation in your personal email in the
first week of class.
You must be invited to join the blog before
you are able to login and read or post
comments on the blog.
When you receive the invitation to join the
blog, follow the instructions carefully. It
is very important that you get this
accomplished in the first week of the course
because the blog will have further
information for how to proceed in the class.
-
Only students who have been invited may use the blog.
Check your personal email for the blog
invitation. If you do not see it in your
Inbox, check Trash or Spam.
-
If your personal email address does not work
for joining the blog, create a Gmail account
and email me from the new email address.
-
When you first login to the blog, read what I have posted
there. If you want to comment back on a posting, click the
link near the bottom of the posting, “Comments”. .
-
If you are not able to post a discussion or
comment to a posting after you join the
blog, contact me immediately by email. My
email address for your class is on Watson's
Website and in your class syllabus.
-
You will not need to create your own blog,
so do not login to Blogger and attempt to
create your own blog for this class. Use the
blog invitation to join the blog.
-
Be sure to check in several times a week
for postings on the blog. I look
forward to blogging and having fun with the class as we learn and use this Internet
technology!
